In 2010 4 Legs Up BBQ was one of only 6 teams to finish in the top 20 in all categories!
Kelly has the experience to teach you about BBQ. At one point in Kelly’s life he made his living as a Professor for the University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension. Kelly knows how to set up classes and give you hands on instruction and involvement so you can get the most out of your educational experience. That’s why we limit the class size to 20 people – so you can get the best experience possible!
Not a competition cook, but want to improve your skills? That’s not a problem for us, with over 20 years in education and over 300 students in the last 2 years in our BBQ and grill classes, we have the experience to help you advance your skills from whatever level you are at. With 10 years of catering and restaurant experience, we can show you how to bring competition quality products to the masses!
Great BBQ is as much of an art as it is a science, and as much of a science as it is an art. Whatever your BBQ experience level, Kelly will show you how to combine art and science to consistently produce awesome BBQ and competition results.
We will treat this class strictly as a competition. We will start with meat prep on the afternoon of day 1, and show you all the steps all the way through category turn in on the KCBS schedule on day 2 with chicken at 12:00 noon.
Sign up early – again, class size is limited to 20. We believe in smaller class sizes to give you the best experience possible!
The cost for the 4 Legs Up Competition class is $600 per person plus a $250 spouse fee if your spouse will be attending with you. Team-mates, friends and relatives are not eligible for the spouse fee. Payment for the class is due at time of registration. No recording devices will be allowed.
